Movement started by the Wheeling Board of Trade for the formation of a State Board of Trade (1905). They appointed a special committee to take up the work and formulate the plans. The committee met and their efforts were successful. On June 20, 1905, they organized the West Virginia State Board of Trade in Wheeling. Wheeling residents W. Alfred Wilson and R.B.
