On December 18, 1989, Aerosmith brought their Pump Tour to the Wheeling Civic Center, rocking the house with a set of classic hits and new tracks from their latest album.
The band opened with the fiery "Heart's Done Time" and kept the energy high with "Magic Touch" and "Young Lust." Newer hits like "F.I.N.E." and "Monkey on My Back" were met with enthusiastic cheers from the crowd, and classics like "Permanent Vacation" and "Janie's Got a Gun" proved to be timeless crowd pleasers.
The setlist also included covers of The Jimi Hendrix Experience's "Red House" and Tiny Bradshaw's "The Train Kept A-Rollin'," showcasing the band's versatility and musical influences. Of course, no Aerosmith show would be complete without "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)", "Sweet Emotion", and the iconic "Walk This Way," which brought the house down to close out the encore.
The concert was undoubtedly a memorable experience for Aerosmith fans in Wheeling. The Pump Tour was a massive success, solidifying the band's status as one of the biggest rock acts of the era.
