Elton John performed at the Wheeling Civic Center as part of his Medusa Tour. The concert was produced by SFX-Pittsburgh. The setlist included many of John's classic hits such as "Your Song," "Rocket Man," "Tiny Dancer," "Philadelphia Freedom," "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me," and "Candle in the Wind." The show was part of John's long farewell tour spanning 1999-2000, with the Wheeling date coming near the end of the tour in December 2000.
