C.J. Goodwin is an American football cornerback who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys. He was born on February 4, 1990, in Wheeling, West Virginia, and attended Linsly School. Goodwin played college football at Bethany College, Fairmont State, and California University of Pennsylvania. He went undrafted in 2014 and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, later spending time with the Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals. Goodwin joined the Dallas Cowboys in 2018 and became a key special teams player. Through the 2022 season, he has appeared in 63 NFL games and made 63 total tackles, with 1 forced fumble. Off the field, Goodwin founded the PeGa Foundation, a nonprofit mentoring organization in Wheeling, to honor his late father. He is active in the community mentoring youth.
