The 1993-1994 Wheeling Jesuit College women's basketball team holds a special place in the program's history, achieving several milestones, including the first-ever West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Regular Season and Conference Championship, as well as becoming the first NAIA National Qualifying team. The team embarked on an impressive 17-game winning streak during the regular season, finishing with an outstanding record of 21 wins and 3 losses. Their remarkable performance culminated in the WVIAC Championship game, where they secured a decisive victory over Bluefield State with a final score of 78-66, marking the program's first-ever conference championship. The players and coaches from the Wheeling Jesuit College women's 1993-1994 championship team will be honored on February 24, 2024, before their game against Glenville State for their contributions. A pregame ceremony will celebrate their accomplishments, providing an opportunity for current players to interact with these distinguished alumni. Their success showcases the program's strong winning tradition and continues to inspire future generations of Wheeling University women's basketball players.
