Today in Wheeling History: February 16--With a 20-4 regular season record, the Wheeling Jesuit College women's basketball team clinched its first West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) regular season title with a 79-65 victory over Alderson-Broaddus at Philippi, West Virginia (1994).
The 1993-1994 Wheeling Jesuit College women's basketball team holds a special place in the program's history, achieving several milestones, including the first-ever West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Regular Season and Conference Championship, as well as becoming the first NAIA National Qualifying team.
